► Sound Object Deconditioning

This 5 tracks EP presents the horrors of modern technological life. This album combines acoustical materials (Piano, Violin) with electronic soundscape. The main idea is to bring to life the machines; rythms are created with metallic sound objects, digital artefacts and parasits take part of the track, and more.

Style: Concrete Music, Acoustical, Minimal, Glitch

Reviews:

"In my humble opinion, Choc's five-track EP combines piano and strings with glitchy percussion, ambient noises and stuttering edits to produce an enthralling listen. Each track could bear the term "composition".( ...) So, can we call this music serious, art or classical? "Art music" and "serious music" are specious terms, in my opinion. Strictly speaking, the term "classical" applies to music written between 1730 and 1820; (...) What to call this stuff? It's good modern music. What more need be said?" (from catching the waves)

"Rhythms of metallic objects entangled in debate. Scratching and chewing remanants of industry that interferes with natural sounds and breath; the piano tries to calm the patient while he stretches his neck for a final breath. Then the orchestra and piano try once again to have their conversation. What is the final outcome of the patient? Is this nirvana or a clever relapse back to the job-site in Zion City? Do we think that Zion would keep safe from the all-consuming machinery, or is this machinery the only way to create Zion?(from jamendo)
